We’re excited to kick off the Swain County Agricultural Fair and America 250 Sticker Design Contest! While this theme is open to interpretation, designs that incorporate America 250 in a creative way — alongside elements of our fair — will receive extra consideration. Think classic Americana, hometown pride, fireworks, freedom, and the fun of the fair (animals, 4-H exhibits, food, Battle of the Bands, etc) — whatever America 250 and the Swain County Fair means to you. We’re looking for original artwork that people will be proud to display all year long.
ENTRY DETAILS:
  • Entry is FREE and open to area youth ages 5-18
    • Artists do not have to be enrolled in 4-H
  • Winning Categories will be based on three (3) age groups
    • 5-7
    • 8-13
    • 14-18
  • Accepted Formats
    • Sketch, hand-drawn, crayon, marker, painted, graphic design
    • Designs must be 100% original and done solely by the artist
      • No AI generated content, stock imagery, or templates will be accepted
        • Verification of process may be requested
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS | Note: The background of the stickers will be white
  • Must include “America 250” and “Swain County Agricultural Fair” to be considered
  • Pro-Tips for Success:
    • Think simple and print-friendly.
    • Keep it Bold: Fine details often get "lost" when a drawing is shrunk down to sticker size.
    • High Contrast: Dark text on light backgrounds (or vice versa) is easier to read!
    • Check your Spelling: Double-check that "Agricultural" is spelled correctly!

  • Entry deadline: 5 pm on Friday, May 29. No late entries will be accepted.
    • No limit on number of entries – submit as many as you want!

The winning design will become the official 2026 Swain County Agricultural Fair sticker and will be featured on our website, social media, and in promotions throughout the next few months. We’re looking forward to seeing how you bring this year’s theme to life!
