2025 Contest Winners

What an unforgettable evening! From an exciting livestock show to an array of food trucks and local craft vendors, the first day of the Swain County Agricultural Fair had something for everyone. The night wrapped up on a high note with an incredible line-up of musical talent, including Deeper Well, Tribe Called Praise, Stone Oakley Music, Tuck-asegee, American Roots Collective, and Full Code—each delivering outstanding performances!

​First Place: Tuck-asegee
Kevin Tuck of Bryson City (Banjo and Guitar) and his son Christopher Tuck (Drums) and Betsy Blankenship of Robbinsville (Upright Bass) have played music together since 2019.

2nd Place: American Roots Collective
Current residents of Swain County, ARC are a culmination of the various genres each member brings to the line-up. Ron Neill, Kirk Benton, and Jason Beck, each bring a different flavor to the sound. Tones of Jazz, Old Time, Rock and Country Rock, are all well represented in their sound.

3rd Place: Deeper Well
"Americana" is the catchall term for a repertoire not limited by any particular genre. Deeper Well fills from the watershed of Blues, Country, Rock and Folk, and pours out both acoustic and electric grooves on covers of the greatest singer-songwriters, as well as original compositions.​
